Whether you’re helping care for our horses, assisting riders in lessons, or lending a hand with ranch projects, every role makes a real difference. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our program—bringing smiles, building confidence, and helping create a safe, supportive environment for our riders. No experience is required, just a willing spirit and a love for horses and people alike!
Volunteer Role Descriptions
🐴 Horse Care & Feeding Help with daily feeding, watering, stall tidying, and general horse wellness. Volunteers in this role get hands-on time with the herd and play a key part in keeping our horses healthy and happy.
🧽 Grooming & Tack Support Assist with brushing, hoof picking, and getting horses ready for lessons. This is a great role for volunteers who enjoy quiet bonding time and learning basic horsemanship skills.
🚶♀️ Side-Walker During Lessons Walk beside riders to provide balance support, encouragement, and safety throughout therapeutic lessons. No horse experience required—just a kind heart and steady pace.
🐎 Horse Leader in Lessons Lead the horse during riding sessions under instructor direction. This role is ideal for volunteers with some horse handling experience or those eager to learn more.
🛠 Ranch Maintenance Helper From fence fixing to sweeping the barn aisle, tidying tack rooms, filling water buckets, or helping with outdoor projects—this role keeps the property running smoothly. Great for hands-on, task-oriented volunteers.
🎡 Event & Fundraiser Support Help during special events like the Fall Fest, Horse Show, or Summer Camp—assisting with check-ins, handing out treats, running activity stations, decorating, or greeting families.
🐖 Pepper Care – Pot-Belly Pig Companion Pepper, our beloved pot-belly pig, needs gentle interaction, enrichment, and attention. Volunteers in this role help refill her food and water, give her supervised outdoor time, brush her (with a back scratcher—no hands!), and make sure she feels loved and entertained.
