How it all got started.

The Story of Hearts
Lisa Rivers discovered her love for horses later in life, drawn in by their calm strength and the sense of peace they brought her. When she introduced her daughter Lauren to the barn, she watched that same spark ignite—Lauren quickly became just as passionate, finding confidence and joy in every ride. Their shared love led them to begin therapeutic riding together, deepening their bond with both the horses and the Hearts community. Inspired to do even more, Lisa and Lauren became active with ERCT, helping rescue horses from kill pens and giving them a second chance at life. What started as a simple love of horses grew into a shared mission—one that continues to change lives, both human and equine, every day.
